This year it’s Treyarch’s turn to release the annual Call of Duty franchise game with Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It’s still based on future warfare theme with an awesome sci-fi twist. They have created a complete package full of amazing content all in one purchase. There is a great deal of replay value this year for the Call of Duty franchise from campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. New gameplay additions to the formula. The visuals are great looking and provides great locales to play. How great is the content and gameplay? Read on and find out as I break down the content below.
Campaign
The campaign is great to start the game and learn the new mechanics added. Basic theme to the story is humanity and cutting-edge military technology colliding. It is a satisfying adventure with epic action set pieces and characters. The voice actors do a great job to their roles. At the start it is a bit slow but picks up right away. Visit amazing locations throughout the campaign. It will take around 6-8 hours to compete the campaign. This may be play solo or co-op up to 4-players online. Local is 2-players only. After each mission you gain XP to unlock new gear. Then heading back to headquarters where you choose your perks, load-out, outfit and more before heading to the next mission. Once the main campaign is done there will be a second campaign unlock that fans of Treyarch will have an epic time playing. I recommend playing the extra campaign.
Gameplay
The new gameplay is more fast pace and great fluid movement. Use controlled thrust jumps, slides, wall runs, and abilities in combinations to take out the enemy. This will still allow players to use traditional movement and advanced tactics to use. Wall running is fun to use as a way travel faster to a location or attack a distracted enemy. Using the thrust is great to avoid taking a hit and then sliding for a counter is great. Now with this new movement there is a new mode Freerun where you must complete the course the fastest in four maps to choose from. The gameplay is tight and new mechanics work great overall.
Multiplayer
All the great core and hardcore modes are back to play with the new mechanics with maps optimized for the new way to play. The maps are great to play and offer great environments. The first thing to do when starting multiplayer is choosing your specialist character and there are 9 to choose from. Each one has their own look, personality, voice, gear and you may customize their look. Level them up to unlock better gear and try each one out to choose your favorite one. There is a new level of customization online to make your weapons to your desired designs on it and attachments. New main mode in multiplayer is the arena mode that has 4v4 matches for competitive e-sport games on various modes like Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, CTF and more. Small team and maps for an epic battle to supremacy. Online is fast to get into a match and works great overall. I had no problems playing online.
Zombies
Zombies has been upgraded with perk loudest to choose before starting a match. They are represented as bubblegums. It is bonus boost to use during a game and you may get more when you level up more. Level up more to unlock more weapons and attachements to customize how they appear in game as well. The main Shadows of Evil zombie mode has great voice-actors and dialogue that you will enjoy and be engaged to listen during the great zombie adventure. Then there is more content as well to play like the improved Dead Ops the top down twin-stick shooter zombie mode with new cool additions. All this zombie content is basically like its own game and will provide hours of fun with friends online up to 4-players or local 2-player split-screen. Treyarch went all out to provide the best zombies mode ever.
Final Impressions
Overall Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a fantastic new Call of Duty game that will provide amazing replay value on one disc and satisfying play sessions. This is the biggest content passage for a Call of Duty game ever. Treyarch has gone all out to provide this as a great entertainment to play for hours. All the content is worth playing. Playing story, multiplayer, and zombies is great playing with friends online or local co-op. I had a fantastic time playing this years Call of Duty than the past three entries. This time DLC content is one month early first on PlayStation consoles. Questions or thoughts on the game let me know in the comments below.

Honest thoughts :
This game has a quite confusing storyline, and it’s hardly relatable to Black ops 1 and 2’s storyline but if you manage to catch on, it’s a pretty decent campaign
Zombies are awesome as always
The multiplayer is really innovative and fun, and the Specialists are surprisingly awesome additions. The thruster packs make the multiplayer flow faster but still keep the flow smooth without making it chaotic like AW.
Supply drops are still absolute shit.
I really like Black Ops 3, but it doesn’t feel like the Call of Duty I know and love, I feel like it’s changed too much to be called CoD
FINAL VERDICT :
9/10, it’s a pretty solid game.
