Cloud Request Mode & Gameplay
This time instead of going to song to song unlocks like before there is a Cloud Request Mode which is the main mode to unlock new songs. There are five Clouds each with a different category of music type for example Cute or Cool type. Choosing the right modules and accessories will boost the voltage needed to complete the song to advance. This gives it an arcade touch to it which is awesome. Of course in the beginning you get the options for easy and normal mode.Throughout this mode there is a lite story mode and for the first time gives personalities to the characters. A risky move but it works well to make them feel more alive.
The Clouds must be restore to full energy to help Miku and friends to perform their best. Once a Cloud is selected there are five songs to complete and after that there is a Main Event song like-boss to beat that includes a Medley song with three pieces of songs put together in shorter form. After completing a Cloud to full energy it lets you select the next Cloud of choice.
Within this Cloud Request Mode as further in through the game Miku’s friends get unlock to use within the mode. Using all the singers will unlock their own modules when used. All the modules in the game are outstanding to get and use to change the character’s costume. Adding value besides getting modules is that there will be specific request characters would like to be done. That includes a specific music type and song with specific modules to be used only. Accomplishing this request will grant rare modules as well.
Concert Editor & Photo Mode
Photo Mode makes you the photographer by choosing two characters and choosing the costume, accessories, positions and poses to take pictures. Share the amazing pictures to other fans online. Then in Concert Editor Mode makes you the Producer. Create concerts with collected songs, stages, modules, control the cameras and accessories. This time Concert Editor Mode is a fusion of the former “Live Studio Mode” and “Edit” features from past games, allowing you to produce your own scenes. Producing amazing concerts and share to friends when they come visit.
Final Impressions
Great selection of music songs new and classic for Hatsune Miku’s latest rhythm adventure. I just wished it had more songs in with this new generation. Gameplay remain the same but thanks to the stunning visuals along with the great choreography bring the performances to life like never before. The hundreds of unlocks will keep you addicted to coming back to unlock all. Having the characters talk now and having a personality was a risky move but fits well to the characters. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X is the best entry yet for the series and will keep fans entertain for hours to come and share wonderful Concerts among fans.
